    Participants learn data-driven system basics before role-playing as developers setting safety principles for a new AI application, aligning decisions with essential ethical guidelines.
     
    Learning objectives:

    By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
    1. Explain the difference between rules-based and data-driven machine learning models
    2. Use the concept of responsible AI development to formulate a set of initial safety principles for a specific AI application
    3. Identify the potential ethical risks and safety challenges associated with a given AI application
    4. Modify their initial safety principles to align with established ethical frameworks
