Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming a core enabler of climate action, supporting better environmental monitoring, climate modelling, early warning systems, energy optimization, sustainable agriculture, circular economy solutions, and more other applications. At the same time, the growing demand for AI computing capacity raises important questions about energy and water use, resource efficiency, accessibility, and the environmental footprint of digital transformations.

These two back-to-back sessions will explore how AI can be harnessed for climate action while ensuring that its deployment is sustainable, inclusive, and aligned with global environmental objectives. The first session will provide a technical discussion on the role of sustainable AI in accelerating climate action, highlighting both opportunities and emerging risks. The second session will then move from discussion to demonstration, showcasing the winners of the Resilient AI Challenge and illustrating how efficient, resource-conscious AI models can deliver real-world impact.

Together, the sessions aim to connect the broader vision of green digital transformation with practical examples of AI systems that are designed to maximize climate and social value while minimizing energy and resource demands.
