Advancing and shaping AI in health

The GI-AI4H brings together expertise from UN agencies responsible for information and communication technologies & technical standards, health, and intellectual property—advancing Policy frameworks, technical benchmarks, and policy guidance for AI in Health.

The Global Initiative on AI for Health (GI-AI4H) is governed by a multi-tiered structure led by ITU, WHO, and WIPO. These agencies leverage their distinct expertise in ICT standards, health systems, and intellectual property to collaboratively enable, facilitate, and implement AI for health solutions worldwide.
