Apoorva Bose

Apoorva Bose is a human rights lawyer and climate advocate, currently Strategic Communications and Partnerships Officer for Sustainable Finance at the Global Landscapes Forum (CIFOR-ICRAF), where she works at the intersection of AI, sustainable finance and community-led climate action.

Over the past five years, she has worked across the UN system, including UNSSC, UNCCD and UNEP, on land and climate portfolios spanning programme coordination, digital innovation, partnerships and communications. At UNCCD, she coordinated India’s engagement with the G20 Global Land Initiative; at UNEP, she led communications for the Disasters and Conflicts Branch.

She holds a Master’s in International Law from the Graduate Institute, Geneva, a Bachelor’s in Legal Studies from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, India, and is an incoming Mason Fellow pursuing an MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Before law and policy, Apoorva worked as an actress, singer and classical dancer in the Malayalam film industry. A TEDx speaker, she was named to BW Businessworld’s “30 Under 30” list in 2021.
