    Artificial Intelligence is rapidly being integrated into all aspects of personal, professional and public activities. As this technology becomes more present, its impact on the resilience and security of everyday activities is keenly felt.

    As AI systems become increasingly embedded in critical digital infrastructures and services, ensuring their security, resilience and trustworthiness becomes essential.

    The need for Trustworthy AI cuts across the whole AI stack:

    • AI infrastructure build-up is a key priority for governments everywhere in the world. As the architecture to sustain AI is being developed, its security and resilience are key to ensure that the technology can truly deliver for the welfare of the broader population;
    • AI training and development can bring significant challenges in terms of security and resilience, from bias management to possible data poisoning leading to prompt injection;
    • Secure and trustworthy AI by design deployment is where the technology can really make a difference. The recent announcements around Project Glasswing have shown the revolutionary impact that AI can have on cybersecurity and resilience. At the same time, AI itself can be the subject of attacks, for example through jailbreaking.

    This workshop will discuss the impact of AI on cybersecurity and resilience, how AI itself can be secured and how a successful Trustworthy AI adoption hinges on its security and resilience.
