Soofia robotronics

We are the Soofia Robotronics team from Soofia International School Butha-Buthe, a passionate group of young innovators from Lesotho dedicated to using technology for positive impact. Our team, which has transitioned into a family, is made up of curious boys and girls of ages between 9 and 17. It brings together creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to design solutions that address real-world challenges in our community and beyond.

Coming from a region where access to advanced technology is limited, we see robotics and artificial intelligence not just as tools but as opportunities to bridge gaps and create meaningful change. Through teamwork, experimentation, and continuous learning, we have developed both technical and critical thinking skills that empower us to tackle global issues.

As finalists in the AI for Good Youth Challenge in Switzerland, we are proud to represent our school, our community, and our country. Our journey reflects resilience, curiosity, and the belief that innovation can come from anywhere. We aim to inspire other young people, especially those from underrepresented communities, to explore STEM and become problem-solvers for the future.
