This is a replay of the session that took place on the Solutions Stage during the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland from 8 to 11 July, 2025. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping societies, economies, and Policy systems, offering significant opportunities for innovation and sustainable development. However, the design, development, deployment and Policy of AI systems must align with human rights and values to ensure they are inclusive, transparent, accountable and safe.

This session brings together perspectives from Policy, human rights, and technical standardization to explore how AI systems can be developed and governed in a manner that upholds human rights, promotes responsible innovation, and supports solving global challenges.

Rather than focusing on abstract risks, the discussion will center on practical approaches to embedding human-centric principles into AI development and deployment, with an emphasis on transparency, accountability, and participation. A key focus of the event is the discussion of a framework to guide the integration of human rights impact assessment into standardization processes.
