Tripti Sinha

Tripti Sinha is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) whose mission is to ensure the stable and secure operation of the Internet’s unique identifier systems. She has over 30 years of experience in Internet technologies, governance and policy, with senior executive roles in technology innovation, operations, financial management, and global collaboration. Sinha is Assistant Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at the University of Maryland (UMD), and the Executive Director of Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX). Her activities include the specification of Artificial Intelligence (AI) optimized High Performance Computing (HPC) resources and research in quantum networking technologies. The National Quantum Laboratory at Maryland (QLab) reports to her, a user facility supporting the development of real-world quantum computing applications and the growth of talent in this evolving field.

Sinha has served on many non-profit and private sector technology corporate and advisory boards. She received her undergraduate degree in computer science from Smith College in Massachusetts, has done graduate work in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, has Executive Education Certificates in Public Leadership and Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and in Global Innovation Catalyst (GIC) Innovation Execution (iX) Entrepreneurship Program from Stanford University.
