From working with Microsoft and Kinvolk to leading community and event initiatives at Loft Labs, he has scaled developer communities, executed large-scale conferences, and driven engagement at the intersection of open source, cloud-native technologies, and innovation.

Currently, Ashish is spearheading the Young AI Leaders – Lucknow Hub, a city-based chapter under the United Nations’ ITU AI for Good initiative, nurturing grassroots AI awareness and leadership in emerging regions.

His portfolio spans 50+ global events, TEDx curation, CNCF meetups, and partnerships with KubeCon, DevOpsDays, and more. Ashish brings deep experience in strategic event planning, youth outreach, and brand partnerships, with a passion for using technology as a tool for empowerment and inclusion.

Ashkan Alinaghian is a researcher focused on AI policy, ethics, and governance. He holds a Master’s in Information Technology Management and is currently pursuing a second Master’s in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities. His work includes contributing to Iran’s National AI Roadmap and international projects such as CAIDP’s AI and Democratic Values report. Ashkan has authored journal articles and books on AI innovation ecosystems and global AI strategies. With experience bridging policy and technical domains, he is particularly interested in how cooperative AI systems can align with public values, foster international collaboration, and support responsible innovation.

I am a PhD researcher in psychology, my research looks at awe as an emotional experience, its mechanisms (attentional, cognitive, social), how it is constructed and how it can best be designed into immersive experiences to make them positively transformative. In parallel, I am developing a creative pratice informed by my research, using interactive digital installations as a vector of positive transformation.

Astride currently serves as a Hub Leader for Douala Hub, part of the AI for Good Young AI Leaders Community, showcasing her commitment to nurturing the next generation of data scientists and AI innovators. With a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning, Astride is a passionate and creative data scientist proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, R, and ROS. Her expertise encompasses a wide array of machine learning techniques, including classification, regression, clustering, natural language processing, computer vision, quantum computing and robotics. Driven by a curiosity to explore trends, patterns, and relationships, she systematically analyzes problems and proposes actionable solutions. Azinwin Tentow is an accomplished expert in telecommunications, satellite technology, and artificial intelligence, boasting over ten years of industry experience. He has made notable contributions to projects that merge these fields, significantly enhancing communication systems and advancing technological innovations.

Azinwin Tentow holds certifications in telecommunication and Networking. His educational background equips him with a robust understanding of designing and implementing state-of-the-art communication networks. He has collaborated with leading telecommunications firms, where he was instrumental in deploying satellite systems that improved global connectivity.

In prior positions, Azinwin led initiatives that leveraged artificial intelligence to enhance network performance and minimize latency. He is adept in machine learning algorithms, utilizing them to optimize predictive maintenance for satellite systems, which has resulted in increased operational efficiency and reliability. His forward-thinking approach has earned him recognition and several patents in satellite communication .

Azinwin is also recognized for his collaborative nature, working effectively with cross-functional teams to guide projects from inception to completion. His ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences has been crucial in gaining project support and fostering strategic partnerships.

Azul Jara is a dedicated educator and pedagogical innovator with extensive experience in teacher training, and educational technology integration. With a strong passion for education, culture, artificial intelligence, and innovation, she strives to inspire both her peers and students to reach their full potential. Azul firmly believes in the transformative power of education and the necessity of continuous adaptation to provide meaningful and high-quality learning experiences.

Currently, Azul serves as the Director of Pedagogical Innovation at Alexandr.IA, where she ensures that AI-driven learning solutions are pedagogically effective, accessible, and tailored to students’ needs. She collaborates closely with technology and community teams to design educational experiences and leads professional development programs for educators.
Her teaching career spans various institutions, including Colegio Aljibes, where she taught English at the primary level, and Colegio Reims, where she instructed Italian and English across primary and secondary levels.

Azul has also contributed significantly to teacher training initiatives, delivering workshops on active learning methodologies such as Project-Based Learning, Gamification, and Cooperative Learning across Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, and other regions.

Beyond her teaching and training roles, Azul has been a speaker at multiple conferences and workshops focused on artificial intelligence in education, productivity, and inclusive teaching methodologies.

Azul is multilingual, with proficiency in Spanish, English, Italian, and intermediate knowledge of French and German. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and holds certifications in artificial intelligence, emotional intelligence, and educational coaching.

Bahavathy Kathirgamanathan is a research scientist at Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS) and a scientific coordinator for Human Centered AI systems at the Lamarr institute for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Her research focuses on the development of human centric models. She is particularly interested in the development of techniques that allow human involvement at every stage of the modelling process, from data representation, to model development, to providing explanations back to the user. Her research interests include using visual analytics as a tool to aid this process.

She completed her PhD in 2023 in Computer Science at University College Dublin (Ireland). Her research focus for her PhD dissertation was in multivariate time series classification of wearable sensor data for applications in sports analytics.

Driven by a strong commitment to ensuring that AI applications are trustworthy and explainable, she hopes to use the young AI leaders program to contribute meaningfully towards regional projects that work towards AI for good.

I’m a Biomedical and Mechatronics Engineer persuing a Master of Science in Computer Science keen on Robot Learning in AI research. Acting Hardware Technical Lead at the Makerere AI Health Lab at Makerere University,Kampala. 

My name is Bayak Nhial Par, a dedicated reporter with over four years of experience at Sikika Radio under FilmAid Kenya and UNHCR. I specialize in storytelling and community engagement. I’m also a skilled social media manager, experienced in creating content, managing accounts, and running successful advertising campaigns to help brands grow their online presence and connect with their audiences effectively.

Beatriz Aleixo is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, Portugal. She is currently conducting research in computational neuroscience at the Coimbra Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Translational Research (CIBIT), focusing on unraveling the neural mechanisms of visual attention. Beatriz holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a master’s degree in Computational Engineering from the University of Aveiro, Portugal.

Her expertise and interests span cognitive neuroscience, complex dynamical systems, and artificial intelligence applications. She is most keen on modelling the brain, harnessing the predictive power of computer simulations to deepen our understanding of neural mechanisms while minimizing the need for resource-intensive experimental research – including time, materials, and animal testing. Given the profound impact of neuroscience on future technologies, she is especially interested in its intersections with neuromorphic computing and artificial intelligence. Her previous research includes applying artificial intelligence to automate processes in the civil sector and to assist in autism diagnosis.

A strong advocate for open science, she believes knowledge should be accessible to all. Moreover, Beatriz is particularly worried about the social impact of artificial intelligence. Therefore, she is committed to fostering awareness about the promises and risks of artificial intelligence, ensuring her community remains informed and engaged in shaping its future.

Bello Abdullahi is a passionate advocate for leveraging artificial intelligence to address societal challenges, particularly in underserved communities. His expertise spans data analysis, Machine learning, artificial intelligence, and community-driven innovation, with a strong focus on breaking down linguistic and cultural barriers.

Bello’s experience is rooted in developing AI-driven solutions for agriculture, healthcare, and education. From creating AI-powered agricultural monitoring systems to advancing tools for improving linguistic accessibility in Africa, his work demonstrates a deep commitment to inclusivity and impact.

Driven by a vision to empower local communities through technology, Bello actively aligns his initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His dedication to fostering collaboration and innovation ensures that AI becomes a tool for building a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable digital future.

Bendjedid Rachad Sanoussi is an ICT specialist with an infectious enthusiasm for environmental protection. Since 2016, he has been working to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to socio-economic and environmental challenges. Currently, Rachad is pursuing a PhD in digital and artificial intelligence (AI) for management. His current research focuses on using AI to enhance customer experiences in sustainable tourism. His aspiration as a researcher is to bridge the gap between academia and industry through applied research. Furthermore, Rachad actively contributes to the analysis, research, and evaluation of cutting-edge policies. He was a member of the research group at the Centre for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), where he contributed

to the assessment of AI policies and practices for Morocco using several metrics based on the CAIDP Artificial Intelligence and Democratic Values (AIDV) 2022 report. Previously, he worked at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a Digital Transformation Support, and ICT Engineering Support. He supported the implementation of the Digital Readiness Assessment (DRA) and the Artificial Intelligence Landscape Assessment (AILA) and contributed to the deployment of digital solutions worldwide. He also worked as a communications intern at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). For four years, he taught and facilitated practical work for telecommunications engineering students as a laboratory technician at the University of Abomey-Calavi. Rachad also holds a certification in Marketing and Communications. For Rachad, digital technologies must contribute more to a more sustainable future. His passion, determination, and ambition led him to get more involved in the community and become an SDG advocate by sharing and passing on hope to young people through his work and community commitments in many organisations, including Ecolotrip, Digital Grassroots, Internet Society Benin, Cadre de Concertation des Associations / Organisations de Développement de la Commune de Pobe (CCAD/Pobe), Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), Global Youth Climate Network (GYCN), World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW), etc. At Digital Grassroots, Rachad curated the Community Leaders Program for Internet Advocacy which focuses on using the Internet for democratic participation. Their Digital Rights Monopoly project has been selected for C/Change’s 2nd Creative Research & Development Lab. They developed a virtual platform modelling decentralized power distribution and amplifying marginalized youth voices. Rachad coordinated the working group on universal access and meaningful connectivity for the Project Youth Summit. As an Open Internet Leader, he also collaborated with the AU-EU Digital for Development Hub (D4D Hub) to bring youth voices to the 17th Internet Governance Forum (IGF). Rachad aspires to become a tech policy analyst. He is a DWeb Fellow and an ICTforAg Youth Ambassador, and he co-founded Green Leaf AI, an AgriTech startup that uses artificial intelligence to detect date palm diseases. Green Leaf AI was awarded 2nd place at Falling Walls Lab Morocco 2024 and was one of the semi-finalist startups in the ITU AI for Climate Action Innovation Factory 2024. Moreover, Rachad is one of the recipients of the Youth Digital Champion (YDC) awards. He also earned the Inaugural Paul Muchene Fellow Award, a tribute to Paul Muchene.

I am a passionate and dedicated professional social worker from South Sudan, committed to making a positive impact in my community. I hold a diploma in Social Work and Community Development from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, where I developed a deep understanding of social systems, advocacy, and community empowerment. My work revolves around supporting vulnerable populations, fostering social change, and promoting sustainable development initiatives.

Beyond my profession, I have a strong interest in the evolving world of artificial intelligence and aspire to be part of the AI leaders’ community. Binay Kumar Pradhan is curently pursuing his Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany, where he also served as a Research Assistant, contributing to interdisciplinary projects. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhubaneswar, establishing a robust foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and MLOps.

His professional experience includes role of an AI Data Engineer at Fasal, where he optimized data pipelines using AWS technologies to enhance operational efficiency. As a Software Engineer at Myelin Foundry, he developed advanced automotive AI applications, focusing on hand gesture recognition and emotion detection systems. His last employment as a Research Assistant at BTU, Mr. Pradhan has done advanced neuroscience research on eye tracking based experiments and consequently developed a real-time fixation generators for the researchers using Tobii eye-tracking and PassiveBCI technologies.

During a research internship at the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), he co-authored a peer-reviewed article in ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing, advancing code-mixed POS tagging through natural language processing techniques.

Mr. Pradhan is deeply committed to ethical AI, aligning with the AI for Good initiative’s mission to harness technology for societal benefit. He is proficient in multiple programming langugaes and actively participates in hackathons, integrating academic rigor with industry innovation. Outside his academic schedules he enjoys hiking and biking across serene nature landmarks.

I’m Blessing Ndlovu, a 28-year-old creative filmmaker and tech entrepreneur from KwaZulu-Natal, raised in Kagiso, Johannesburg. I studied TV, Film & Production in Cape Town on a two-year scholarship and founded Organic Talent Management, a company focused on discovering and nurturing talent in the creative industries.

After expanding my expertise into Digital Marketing and AI, I founded AIQuickStore to bridge the gap in tech education and empower communities with AI tools and digital skills. I’m passionate about building solutions that uplift others and contribute to South Africa’s future.

Currently pursuing Data Science studies at Moringa School, he is developing expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. His experience includes working on projects such as Twitter Sentiment Analysis on Apple and Google, where he analyzed public sentiment using natural language processing, and a Movie Recommender System designed to enhance personalized user experiences in the entertainment industry. These projects have equipped him with a strong foundation in data processing, predictive modeling, and visualization techniques.

In addition to his data science journey, Bosco holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with IT from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.
