The Scholar Program is an initiative that brought together scholars from diverse countries worldwide. Selected scholars collaborated with ITU and industry experts to analyze AI use cases for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). MIIT China sponsored chosen scholars to attend the AI for Good Global Summit, where they presented their findings, engaged in panel discussions, and received recognition for their hard work.
During the program, I actively participated in:
- I engaged in meetings with use case authors to enhance submission quality and improve the use case report document published during the AI for Good Summit 2024
- I edited the report document to conform to ITU’s required format
- I participated in the winning use case panel discussion and presentation during the summit in Geneva
The Scholar Program offered me numerous benefits, including:
- Collaboration: Working with use case authors and scholars from diverse backgrounds helped me adapt and grow.
- Knowledge gap bridging: I gained valuable insights and feedback from experts, enabling me to refine my approach and make necessary adjustments. Also I benefited from the ITU ML5G initiative, where i was mentored by expert on the application of AI in Telecommunications.
- Exposure to industry leaders: Attending sessions featuring top AI experts at the AI for good Summit in Geneva broadened my perspective, shaping my thought process and problem-solving approach.
- Problem solving driven: The program has imparted in me the drive to solve problem strategical and also to seeing tasks through to a successful completion.
