Xinyi Gu

Professor Xinyi Gu, associate researcher and master’s supervisor at Beijing Institute of Technology. Her main research areas include brain-computer interface ethics and governance, AI ethics and governance. She is currently the vice chairman of the Ethics Working Group of the Brain-Computer Interface Industry Alliance and the deputy secretary-general of the Education Working Committee of the China Artificial Intelligence Association (CAAI). She has presided over 10 national and provincial projects, including the National Social Science Fund Project, and participated in many key R&D plans of the Ministry of Science and Technology and special research projects of the high-end think tank of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The core author of China’s first “Ethical Principles and Governance Recommendations for Brain-Computer Interfaces”
