Tongning Wu

Tongning Wu received his B.A. in Biomedical Engineering from Tianjin University in 2002, his M.S. degree in Communication and Information Systems from the China Academy of Telecommunication Technology, in 2005, and his Ph.D. degree in électronique, traitement du signal from Université Paris-Est, Marne-la-Vallée, France, in 2009. He then joined the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, where he is the Depute director of AI Institute.

Dr. Wu is a recipient of the first-class award of the China Inspection and Testing Society, second class award of the Chinese Society for Stereology, and multiple awards from the China Institute of Communications and China Communications Standards Association. He also takes responsibility as the Vice Chair of ITU-D Study Group 2 on Digital Transformation, Co-rapporteur of Question 7/2 on EMF Strategies and policies concerning human exposure to electromagnetic fields, and member of the Board of Directors of the Bioelectromagnetic Society. In addition, he is the Director Designate of the Bioelectromagnetics Committee of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

His research covers a wide range of topics in the application of artificial intelligence in medical image processing and electromagnetic simulation. He authored more than 100 papers, 3 books and 30 patents.
