Tom Kaye

Tom Kaye is a global leader in education, skilling, and youth livelihoods who has dedicated his career to supporting young people to access learning and work opportunities across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Tom currently serves as Senior Adviser for Global Solutions at UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited (GenU), where he oversees a portfolio of flagship initiatives that reached more than 15 million young people in 2023. In this role, he works with governments, the private sector, development partners, and young people themselves to design and scale innovative approaches that equip the world’s most marginalized youth with the skills needed for the future of work.

A central focus of Tom’s career has been identifying and deploying innovative approaches to supporting children and youth at scale. Most recently, this includes a focus on preparing youth to thrive in an AI-enabled world. He spearheads Generation Unlimited’s thought leadership agenda, including the 2024 report Time to Act: Preparing Youth for Work in an AI-Powered World, which sets out a bold vision for harnessing artificial intelligence to accelerate opportunity and inclusion for the largest youth generation in history.

Tom’s reflects a deep commitment to unlocking the potential of technology and innovation to serve humanity—ensuring young people everywhere can learn, work, and thrive.
