Stephano Mabziness Patrick

Stephano Mabziness Patrick is a Network and Software Engineer and African Union Digital Innovation Fellow currently serving at the Africa CDC Headquarters in Addis Ababa. He is passionate about leveraging Edge AI, IoT, and automation to address pressing challenges in agriculture, health, and education across Africa.

He is the lead innovator behind the Smart Autonomous Hydroponic Fodder System, a TinyML-powered solution that brings intelligence to the edge , enabling real-time crop monitoring, predictive control, and sustainable food production in low-connectivity environments.

Stephano is also the Co-founder of Gusherlabs, a Malawian innovation hub advancing digital transformation and AI-driven solutions for inclusive growth. A University of Malawi graduate and YALI Alumnus, he has presented at the Artificial Intelligence Leaders’ Summit, Africa Tech Festival, and ITU Cyberdrill Africa, contributing to the continent’s growing AI ecosystem.
