Spyros Doukakis

Spyros Doukakis is an Assistant Professor in Digital Technologies in Education at the Department of Informatics, Ionian University, and since August 2023, he has chaired the Institute of Educational Policy. He holds a Mathematics degree from the University of Patras and the University of Amsterdam (State Scholarships Foundation recipient), a second degree in Computer Science from the University of West Attica, and multiple postgraduate qualifications, including a PhD in digital education technologies from the University of the Aegean. Doukakis has contributed to research projects at several institutions and has co-authored high school and university textbooks. Formerly Head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the American College of Greece, he has also served as an advisor for educator development, and taught at universities. A Fulbright Scholar and recipient of Harvard Club of Boston’s Excellence in Teaching Award, his research spans computing education, educational neuroscience, distance learning, and educational technology.
