Sebastian Viktor Pios

Dr. Sebastian Pios is a theoretical chemist and Senior Research Fellow at Zhejiang Lab committed to the development of foundation models in chemical research. Starting from his work at the Technical University of Munich, his research field now spans from time-resolved spectroscopy over energy conversion to the development of artificial intelligence. Sebastian has made various contributions in the field of renewable energy and novel spectroscopic methods. His findings can be used in the conversion of solar energy to chemical energy, helping close the carbon cycle. The development of chemistry models aims to provide researchers from all over the world with access to state-of-the-art AI technology. Focusing on academic and industrial needs alike, this project intends to become one more contribution in the democratization of scientific research.
