Sarah Aboerjaib

Sarah Aboerjaib is a Kuwaiti inventor, engineer, and entrepreneur focused on advancing medical technology through innovation in brain diagnostics. She is the founder and inventor of ScansX, a med-tech startup developing AI-powered, non-invasive devices for rapid detection and triage of acute brain conditions.

Her device is designed to support emergency clinical decision-making by helping differentiate between ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke, enabling faster triage in critical neurological cases. It is particularly intended for use in isolated or resource-limited areas, where access to advanced imaging (such as CT or MRI) is not immediately available, and where patients require urgent, time-sensitive medical action.

Sarah Aboerjaib is a WIPO Global Award Winner (2024) and holds a granted U.S. patent for her medical diagnostic technology. Her work integrates electrical engineering, optical sensing, and artificial intelligence to improve early detection of life-threatening brain conditions.

Internationally recognized as a rising innovator, she is working to make brain diagnostics faster, more accessible, and portable worldwide.
