Dr. Sanjeev Sharma is a senior officer, who is working as Member Secretary, in the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).

Dr. Sharma is an Engineering graduate in Electronics Engineering, who has done MBA from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. He did his Ph.D. in Financing of Technical Education from National Institute of Technology, Delhi.

He possesses wide experience of 34 years of serving the various Ministries and Departments of Government of India. He has served in Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education, Ministry of Water Resources, Department of Posts and Department of Telecommunication. He has contributed significantly in the areas of telecom reforms, postal reforms, common counseling for admission of students in IITs, IIITs, NITs, educational reforms in NITs, New Education Policy, National Mission of cleaning Ganga, financial inclusion of rural masses and protection of child rights.

As Member Secretary, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, he is responsible for overall functioning of the Commission. In his leadership, several reforms have been initiated which will go a long way to improve the functioning of the Commission.
