Ricardo Mirón

As Chief Technology Officer at the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA), Ricardo Mirón drives the technical vision for DPGA Secretariat. He leads the team responsible for the DPG Registry, the DPG Standard, and the integration of new AI systems as digital public goods.
Ricardo brings a decade of experience in leveraging open source technology for public and social innovation. His prior roles include Director of Open Data for the Government of León, Mexico, and positions at Codeando México, Microsoft, and the United Nations Development Program. A long-time opensource contributor, Ricardo has also consulted for governments and NGOs on open government and open data implementations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Guanajuato and a master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
