UN AI for Good Award Finalist. Rhiana Spring is an international human rights advocate and the founder of Spring ACT. With the United Nations, the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and diverse legal teams, Rhiana has defended the most vulnerable individuals and spearheaded multinational human rights projects across 18 countries across Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe. Aged 17, Rhiana setup and ran her first IT business, having taught herself multiple programming languages. Her team developed “Sophia“, the world’s first chatbot empowering victim-survivors of domestic violence to gather potential evidence and seek help anywhere in the world. To date, Sophia has had over 41,000 confidential conversations, in 172 countries. And 25 languages. Her work has been recognised with multiple international innovation awards, including from the President of Switzerland and recognitions from MIT, and gained international media attention. Rhiana was recently named “Europe’s Best Impact Entrepreneur” by the European Investment Bank. Rhiana is on a mission to scale up this impact and is looking for impactful global partners to join forces.
