René Reimann

René Reimann

Before Dr Reimann joined the Technology Innovation Institute in 2020 he worked for 5 years, first as Postdoc, then as Senior Scientific Assistant in the group of Lukas Novotny at the Photonics Laboratory at ETH Zurich in Switzerland. His love for quantum optics and levitated particles is the common theme of his scientific work.

He received his PhD in Physics in 2014 from the University of Bonn in Germany, where Dr Reimann worked in the quantum technologies group of Dieter Meschede, on “Cooling and Cooperative Coupling of Single Atoms in an Optical Cavity”. In 2009 Dr Reimann completed his Master in Physics at Stony Brook University in the United States, in the laboratory of Dominik Schneble, working on “Quantum Gases in State-Dependent Optical Potentials”.
