Pengcheng Zheng

Pengcheng Zheng is the Managing Director of Timecho Europe. He focuses on open-source time series databases, IoT data infrastructure, and AI technologies for industrial digital transformation. His work centers on helping industrial organizations manage, analyze, and unlock value from large-scale time series data generated by connected devices, production systems, and critical infrastructure. He is also involved in the development and promotion of time series foundation models and AI-powered data analysis for industrial scenarios. Before Timecho was founded, he worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering in Germany, where he participated in EU research projects and contributed to publications on Industry 4.0 and the automotive sector. He is active in open-source advocacy, with a particular focus on Apache IoTDB and PLC4X, and works with academic and industry partners, including Tsinghua University, to promote open, scalable, and sustainable data infrastructure for the IoT and AI era.
