Naveen Jakhar

Sh. Naveen Jakhar is a civil servant of Indian Telecom Service 2014 Batch and presently working as Director in AI & Digital Intelligence Unit (AI & DIU), DoT HQ. Presently, he is handling DIU project including Sanchar Saathi portal, Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP), expansion of DIU in LSA field units and working on policy intervention for making the digital ecosystem more secure and robust for telecom subscribers and digital payments.

He has been instrumental in designing and implementation of ASTR solution for curbing the menace of fake SIMs, cyber-crime and financial frauds. In past he has been involved in designing & inventing CQAS geo-fencing solution for quarantine management for the fight against covid-19 pandemic, Oxygen Digital Tracking System (ODTS) for real time tracking of oxygen supply during deadly second wave of covid-19 pandemic.

He is the recipient of Hon’ble Minister of Communications Medallion and Commendation Certificate for outstanding contributions. He is a winner of National CCTNS Hackathon & Cyber Challenge-2022 organized by National Crime Records Bureau, MHA. Recently, he has been recognized as one of the top 24 Bureaucrats and Change Makers of the country in year 2024. His initiatives have been recognized as Innovations in Public Administration by Capacity Building Commission and published in National e-Governance compendium of year 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024 by DARPG, Govt of India. He has published more than 30 research papers/white papers and articles in in International and National Journals/Magazines of repute.
