Mohamed Ali Al Harbi

Mohamed Al Harbi leads the Intelligent Operational Nuclear Safety IONS Project at FANR, his responsibilities as an operating programs manager is to oversight activities for the UAE Nuclear Power Plant in UAE, to ensure the safe and secure use of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities. Mohamed started his carrier at FANR in 2012, where he served at the early stages of the start-up of the UAE nuclear project since the site selection of the first nuclear power plant in UAE and continuing through the operations of Barakah NPP units. Previous to his current post, Mohamed served the Inspection Section as Specialist Resident Inspector at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. Mohamed holds a master’s degree in Science in Nuclear Engineering from Khalifa University. He serves the UAE and FANR as an expert to several committees and expert groups such as being delegated Board member in the Halden (HTO). Moreover, Mohamed is member of the External Events Notification System Steering in the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA. In 2019 Mohamed won the prime minster medal of excellence as best technical field employee in the UAE Government.
