MG Ferreira

MG Ferreira is a mathematician that assist clients in transitioning to data driven decision making. He guides teams in adopting the latest techniques and in implementing robust business processes around these.

MG held positions at the University of Pretoria, Eskom Pension Fund and the SA Reserve Bank before founding Ferra Solutions in 2000 where he currently serves as executive director. Notable projects in which MG participated include projecting the energy consumption of Eskom’s key customers, optimizing National Treasury’s debt and funding strategies, an algorithmic trading model for Deutsche Bank and a stress test model used to perform a comprehensive regulatory system wide stress test of all major financial institutions.

MG actively participates in online machine learning competitions and has 11 gold, 13 silver and 6 bronze medals from Zindi and 1 silver and 2 bronze medals from Kaggle.
