Meem Arafat Manab

Meem Arafat Manab is a Maria Skłodowska Curie doctoral researcher at the Ontology Engineering Group, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, researching AI governance, ethics, and digital rights through the lens of European data spaces. They are also a Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin’s School of Religion, Theology and Peace Studies, working on a project which investigates gaming platforms as vectors for radicalisation. Their work at Trinity includes co-developing the Watchtower Platform, an AI tool for detecting extremist recruitment in real time. Meem holds an Erasmus Mundus Master in Law, Data and AI and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering. They are from Bangladesh and currently based in Madrid.
