Marissa Nobauer

Marissa Nobauer is the Director of Reconciliation, Community Engagement and External Relations at TELUS, where she leads a team of passionate professionals responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships and relationships with Indigenous and municipal governments, government subsidy and utility partners.

Her team plays a vital role in partnering with, advocating for, and advancing access to broadband connectivity in Indigenous and rural communities through unique co-funding arrangements with government funding partners.

As the first technology company in Canada to implement a Reconciliation Action Plan, Marissa was instrumental in leading the establishment of TELUS’ Reconciliation commitments and supports the team and the business in integrating these commitments throughout TELUS.

Marissa holds an MSSc in International Development and Management from Lund University and a BA in Political Science from SFU. She is of settler heritage and passionate about the role non-Indigenous peoples must play in actively advancing reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous Peoples. When not working, Marissa enjoys exploring the world and her backyard with her husband and child.
