He is one of 13 members of the Presidential Council Coordination Committee for AI, tasked with updating Italy’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2026-2027. He contributed to drafting the European AI Act Code of Practice. Founder of the Cyberhumanism philosophy and Professor of Cyber-Humanities at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan. For 10 years he brought digital literacy to millions of Italians through the country’s most-watched television programme. In 2022, UCL dedicated an academic case study to him, “The Digital Renaissance Man”, recognising his ability to make complex technology accessible to the Italian public and the measurable positive impact this work has had on the country. He conducted the first systematic study on fake followers on social media, picked up and cited by Reuters, the Financial Times, The Guardian, and The Economist. Author of books published by Il Sole 24 Ore, Mondadori, Hoepli, and Pearson Financial Times. Keynote speaker at over 500 events worldwide. Followed by more than 2 million people on social media, with over 25 million monthly views. Honours include: Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy (2024), Honorary Police Officer of the Italian State Police (2024), and Freedom of the City of London (2022). Member of Mensa International. An Italian and British citizen, he lives in New York City and holds a U.S. Green Card as an EB-1A Extraordinary Ability permanent resident.
