Lízia is currently pursuing a PhD in neuroscience at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, specializing in data analysis, bioinformatics, and machine learning, with a focus on modeling brain organoid systems to advance our understanding of neurological diseases. Her academic background in Engineering Physics provided her with a robust analytical skill set and interdisciplinary expertise, enabling her to bridge the fields of engineering and neuroscience. By leveraging AI-driven tools, Lízia continues to push the boundaries of computational and biological research, combining innovation with real-world impact.

However, this dedication to impactful solutions extends beyond the lab. Since high school, Lízia has shown a deep commitment to fostering collaboration and contributing to a cohesive global community. Her active participation in political and policy discussions at the European level, particularly through multiple sessions of the European Youth Parliament, sharpened her ability to engage in interdisciplinary and multicultural dialogues. These experiences laid the foundation for her effective communication and leadership, which she further honed in her role as Communication Manager for the World Bioenergy Association. Since 2021, she has been instrumental in raising awareness of sustainable energy solutions and promoting international cooperation on renewable energy policies, demonstrating her ability to translate technical expertise into global advocacy.
