Ruotong Liao

Ruotong Liao is a PhD student at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München(LMU), specializing in multimodal reasoning, foundational models, and symbolic AI with a particular focus on temporal data such as videos and dynamic graphs. Her research lies at the intersection of Generative AI, multimodal large language models (MLLMs), and symbolic knowledge, aiming to enhance multimodal agents’ ability to reason, predict, and explain across multimodal and temporal data. She has published in top-tier AI conferences such as NeurIPS, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, ECCV, etc. She has delivered invited talks on Multimodal reasoning and temporal modeling at various international institutions. Well supported by the community, her research interests have expanded further into foundation models aiming for general artificial intelligence.
