Laura Zuluaga Pineda

Laura Zuluaga Pineda is a Computational Biologist and AI builder focused on turning advanced AI systems into real-world impact. She is Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Young AI Leaders Bogotá Hub, part of the global AI for Good ecosystem, where she is building a high-performance network of AI researchers, engineers, and founders across Latin America.

Her work sits at the intersection of AI, health, and deployment. She focuses on translating complex technologies-particularly in genomics, preventive health, and intelligent systems-into scalable products and initiatives that move beyond experimentation into real-world use.

Laura has led the design and execution of AI-driven initiatives connecting academia, industry, and policy, and has contributed to international hackathons and global innovation spaces, including projects at the intersection of geospatial intelligence and health-tech. Her approach combines scientific rigor with growth strategy, enabling not only the development of AI systems, but their adoption and impact.

With a background in Biology and Microbiology and currently completing her M.Sc. in Computational Biology, she brings a systems-level perspective to AI-bridging the underlying science with the pathways required to scale it responsibly in real-world contexts.
