Kseniia Fontaine

Kseniia Fontaine is a Senior Business Development and Operations Officer within the Strategic Engagement Department of ITU’s Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB). She plays a central role in advancing ITU-T’s public-facing initiatives on AI and emerging technologies, including the AI for Good platform. In this role, she leads strategic growth initiatives, partnership development, and resource mobilization that support the development and adoption of international standards. With experience spanning international relations, business development, and operational leadership, she works closely with stakeholders across governments, industry, academia, creators and entrepreneurs worldwide.

A recognized voice in the emerging technology space, Kseniia is a regular keynote speaker and panellist at leading international forums, including Davos, SXSW, the Paris AI Action Summit, UN General Assembly high-level events, WAIC (World Artificial Intelligence Conference in China), AI Expo Africa, India Mobile Congress and other major global platforms. Her work focuses on entrepreneurship, future skills, and frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum, with a particular emphasis on building inclusive innovation ecosystems and translating technological advances into real-world impact.

Prior to joining ITU, Kseniia served as Project Manager at ISO, International Standards Organization. In particular, she managed external relations with ISO members and rendered technical support to optimize their performance and participation.

Kseniia holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva and is currently pursuing an MBA from the SBS Swiss Business School in Zurich. Additionally, she completed an executive course from the MIT Sloan School of Management on Strategic Business Implications of AI.

Kseniia is fluent in English, French, Russian and Ukrainian, and has a basic understanding of Spanish.
