Keemoon Jang

Dr. Kee Moon Jang is an incoming postdoctoral researcher at MIT Senseable City Lab. He received his Ph.D. in 2022 in Civil and Environmental Engineering with focus on Urban Design and Analytics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He also holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from KAIST (2016) in South Korea and a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from KAIST (2018).

His research and publications focus on urban design and spatial data analysis with an emphasis on the interaction between urban environment and people and modeling spatiotemporal changes of cities. Particular topics of interest include, but are not limited to, place identity, urban perception, cognitive mapping, crowdsourced data analysis, topic modeling, urban regeneration, remote sensing, green infrastructure, growth and decline, future cities.
