Janet Brinz

Dr. Janet Brinz is a researcher and clinician operating at the vital intersection of clinical dentistry, AI innovation, and healthcare technology. Her mission is to translate medical expertise into technological innovation, driving the ethical and effective adoption of AI in healthcare systems globally.

Janet actively contributes to the development and implementation of AI in healthcare guidelines on a global scale. As the Secretary and member of the ITU-WHO Focus Group on AI for Health’s Topic Group-Oral Health, she has been instrumental in growing the group to over 100+ international members. Her organizational leadership has facilitated high-level symposia and discussions at institutions like MIT and the ITU Headquarters, promoting critical knowledge transfer between technical and non-technical stakeholders. In her local capacity in Munich, she is a member of the Young AI Leaders Hub, actively driving local initiatives and contributing to the responsible use of AI.

As a Dentist, Researcher, and Lecturer at LMU University Hospital in Munich, Janet is deeply involved in both clinical care and AI in healthcare research. She is a Principal Investigator for multiple interdisciplinary AI projects, setting up data sharing agreements with institutions worldwide to advance AI training.
