IRON

XPeng’s next-generation humanoid robot is officially unveiled at the XPeng AI Day on November 5, 2025. The robot features 62 ultra-high degrees of freedom (DOF) across its entire body, with its hands equipped with a new 22-DOF biomimetic dexterous hand.

The design incorporates a high-DOF actuation system enabling human-like gait and posture, such as elegant, stable “model walk” and diverse anthropomorphic movements.

IRON fuses the company’s core AI infrastructure with its intelligent EV technologies -Battery, Motor, and Electronic Control System- delivering highly anthropomorphic motion capabilities. With its autonomous driving foundation model, IRON adapts autonomously to complex environments, enabling context-aware, fluid interaction in dynamic scenarios.

Collectively, XPeng’s next-generation humanoid robot integrates these innovations to deliver synergistic advancements in motion performance, body adaptability, and human-robot interaction, enhancing its overall capability as a seamless mobility solution.

Our primary focus will be on the commercial service sector and applications such as guided tours, shopping assistance, and patrol guidance, allowing our robots to provide tangible services and create value for both businesses and their customers.

Backed by XPeng’s robust in-house R&D expertise, IRON represents a major step toward Physical AI.
