Hamilton José Mendes da Silva

A civil servant in the Science and Technology career, assigned to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. He holds undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering (University of Brasнlia – UnB) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Unified Education Association of the Federal District – AEUDF); and a Master’s degree in Business Economics (Catholic University of Brasнlia) and a Doctorate in Science Education (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS). 

He has held various positions at the MCTI and currently serves as Director of the Department of Incentives for Digital Technologies (DEINC), the unit responsible for managing R&D projects carried out by companies receiving incentives under Laws 8.248/91 (ICT Law) and 11.484/2007 (PADIS) as well as coordinating R&D projects supported by the MCTI, funded with resources from this legislation within the context of priority programs and projects (PPI). He represents the MCTI on several committees (including FUST, FUNTTEL, and the National Cybersecurity Committee), in addition to being a member of the Information and Communication Technology Committee – CATI (FNDCT Steering Committee for the ICT sector).
