H.E. Ms. Rose Pola Pricemou

Born in Fria, in the Republic of Guinea, to an engineer father and a midwife mother, Madame Rose Pola PRICEMOU completed her primary education and part of her secondary studies in her hometown. She subsequently obtained a scientific baccalaureate, mathematics option, at Sainte Marie High School in Conakry. A laureate of Guinean-Tunisian cooperation, she continued her higher education at the University of November 7 in Carthage (Tunisia), where she obtained a master’s degree in applied computer science in management. Determined to expand her skills, she later joined the University of Montreal (Canada) where she obtained a master’s degree in computer research in 2008, and then Laval University (Quebec) where she earned, in 2010, an MBA specialized in information technology management.

Professional Career

With more than twenty-three years of professional experience in the information technology sector, Madame PRICEMOU has worked for more than a decade within private and governmental structures in North America. She has notably worked for the Industrial group.


Alliance in Canada, government agencies in the United States, as well as within several Quebec ministries (Health, Revenue Quebec, Justice, Transport, Culture, Communications, and Women’s Condition).

Return to Guinea

Upon her return to Guinea, Mrs. P RICEMOU puts her skills to the service of the private sector as head of the development of IT solutions, before joining the public administration as Director of the Strategy and Development Office of the Ministry in charge of Investments and Public-Private Partnerships.

Ministerial Functions

Her expertise and commitment have led her to hold several high ministerial positions:

  • October 26, 2021 – August 20, 2022: Minister of Information and Communication
  • August 20, 2022 – November 18, 2022: Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Small and Medium Enterprises
  • November 18, 2022 – February 19, 2024: Minister of Planning and International Cooperation
  • Since March 13, 2024: Minister of Posts, Telecommunications, and Digital Economy

Vision and Commitment

A fervent advocate for digital inclusion, Ms. P RICEMOU actively works towards the digital transformation of Guinea, positioning her actions within a regional and continental dynamic. She carries an ambitious vision, aligned with the will of the Head of State, General Mamadi D OUMBOUYA, aiming to make digital technology a major lever for economic integration, infrastructure development, and reduction of the digital divide, particularly for women, youth, and populations living in isolated areas. Under her leadership, Guinea has initiated significant institutional, infrastructural, and regulatory reforms to accelerate access to digital services and strengthen the country’s digital sovereignty.
