H.E. Mr. HONSEI KOZO

Ambassador HONSEI Kozo has assumed his duty as a Deputy Permanent Representative of Japan to the International Organizations in Geneva in October 2021. 
Prior to this assignment, Ambassador Honsei served as a Director-General / Assistant Minister (Ambassador) for Disarmament, Non-proliferation and Science Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Honsei’s other senior positions include: Senior Vice President, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA); Director at the Financial Affairs Division, Minister’s Secretariat; Director (twice) as regional and policy coordinator in the International Cooperation Bureau; Regional Director, Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau; as well as a position of a Director, International Science Cooperation Division, Foreign Policy Bureau. 
Ambassador Honsei’s diplomatic assignments include two positions at the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, as well as positions in the Embassies of Japan in Spain and Mexico.
