Ger Baron
Ger Baron (1978) is the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer of the City of Amsterdam. His professional career started at Accenture, where he worked as a consultant. After this Baron was responsible for starting up the Amsterdam ICT-cluster for public private collaboration and he initiated over hundred projects in public-private partnership. Among these were a number of projects related to the development of Amsterdam’s Smart City initiative. Currently, Mr Baron is responsible for innovation and digital transformation within the City of Amsterdam.
In addition, is chairing the Amsterdam Smart City program and is a member of the WEF Future CitiesCouncil and the NGI Forward future internet advisory board.
