FOCUS – Few Observations, Complete Understanding of Scenes

FOCUS is a new way of observing Earth. Rather than collecting every possible signal, the system is designed to recognize what truly matters. By capturing only the most meaningful information, it significantly reduces the amount of data that needs to be transmitted while preserving the detail required to understand our planet.

This approach enables smaller, faster, and more energy efficient satellites to observe oceans, clouds, and land with a level of richness traditionally associated with larger systems. It improves how Earth observation data is recorded, processed, and shared through light.

FOCUS supports a future in which space based observation becomes smarter and more accessible. By lowering data and energy demands, it expands our capacity to monitor environmental change, support protection efforts, and maintain a clearer view of the world we all share.
