Felix Friedrich

Felix Friedrich is a final-year PhD student at the Technical University of Darmstadt and a member of hessian.AI in Germany. His research focuses on generative models, with a particular emphasis on developing methods to effectively control and manipulate these systems. The main application of his fundamental research is the area of responsible AI. A key aspect of his work involves analyzing the internal representations of models to harness this understanding for improved controllability to foster fairness and safety. Recently, Felix has expanded his research to include synthetic data augmentation for multimodal models, such as creating synthetic captions for text-to-image (T2I) models and audio-to-text models or augmenting vision datasets with T2I models. He has published his work in prestigious AI journals and conferences, including Nature, NeurIPS, and CVPR.
