Eunseong Kim

Eunseong Kim is Dean of the Graduate School of Quantum Science and Technology and a professor of the department of physics at KAIST. He received his academic training in physics, earning his doctoral degree with a focus on condensed matter and quantum phenomena at the Pennsylvania State University. His early research centered on superconductivity, mesoscopic physics, and low-temperature experimental techniques, which later evolved into work on superconducting quantum circuits, quantum sensing, and quantum information processing. He has contributed to the development of quantum technologies by bridging fundamental physics and applied research. As dean, he has led efforts to internationalize KAIST’s quantum programs through global academic partnerships, joint educational initiatives, and international workshops, while actively promoting the dissemination of quantum science and technology within the global research community.
