Emmanuel Adegboye

Emmanuel Adegboye is the Head of Madica, a structured investment program empowering underrepresented and underfunded pre-seed founders across Africa. Launched in 2022, Madica provides capital, mentorship, and company-building support to mission-driven startups. Before joining Madica, Emmanuel led Africa strategy for Utopia, a platform for Urbantech entrepreneurs, where he designed and launched the Lagos Urban Innovation Challenge and Utopia’s virtual accelerator. With deep expertise in Africa’s entrepreneurial and policy landscape, Emmanuel has built and managed large-scale technology initiatives at Andela and Venture Garden Group. A 2021 Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellow with the Africa Program at Chatham House, his policy contributions extended beyond Chatham House to the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and the Nigeria Startup Act, and he continues to engage policymakers on startup policy on the continent. He holds degrees in Engineering Physics, Space Applications, and an Executive MBA, and is a certified Project Management Professional passionate about supporting founders building Africa’s future.
