Dr. Khaled Soufi

Dr Khaled Soufi was elected ISO President for a three-year term starting on 1 January 2026. Dr Soufi brings a wealth of expertise in international governance, standardization, and quality management across both the public and private sectors. His leadership has consistently driven impactful change, enhancing organizational efficiency and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Dr Soufi has held senior roles at the international, regional, and national levels, including serving as a member of the ISO Council and other governance groups reporting to the Council, Chair of the Egyptian Committee of Codex, and Liaison Officer at the United Nations Headquarters. He has also served as a Board Member of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), as well as a Council Member of the African Organization for Standardization (ARSO). At the national level, he serves as Chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization (EOS).

Dr Soufi holds a PhD in Statistical Control and Quality Assurance from Cairo University, Egypt. His educational background also includes a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in quality management systems.
