Derick Nwasor

Derick Nwasor, cofounder of Newdigit is at the forefront of using Artificial Intelligence to advance PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyser technologies in Nigeria, with a strong foundation in physics and a deep passion for achieving Type I Civilisation energy. Derick is driving transformative innovations in the energy sector. His work at the KAUST Catalysis Centre- Saudi Arabia and Newdigit includes the groundbreaking Just Add Water system, which utilises dirty grey water to generate electricity, produce clean water, and medical-grade oxygen, particularly for hospitals. His expertise in AI and electrocatalysis has positioned him as a key figure in manufacturing the technologies for the African Hydrogen economy, from mining rare earths, to the preparation of electrocatalysts and setting up membrane electrode assembly, to cell stacking and a complete turnkey system for applications in healthcare, agriculture, industries and automobile.
