Deepa Shinde

Deepa Shinde leads Pharma and Life Sciences architecture at Microsoft UK and serves as a Global Quantum Computing and Quantum Safe Ambassador. With over 20 years in the IT industry and five years teaching STEM subjects, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise and educational insight to her work.

As part of Microsoft’s Innovation team, Deepa focuses on designing AI-powered solutions using Microsoft’s full AI stack – from M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio to Azure AI Foundry – infused with agents, machine learning, and automation for her Pharma & Life Sciences customers. She also plays a key role in advancing awareness and adoption of quantum technologies and post-quantum security across industries.

Her background in computer science, combined with a lifelong passion for the sciences – especially modern physics – fuels her curiosity about the universe and the fundamental principles that govern it. This intersection of computing and physics naturally led her to quantum, where she now explores cutting-edge theory and its practical applications, including quantum-resistant cryptography with her customers.

Deepa is currently studying Quantum Mechanics and Computing with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), further deepening her expertise in the field.
