PhD student, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Dingqi is a PhD student in Geography & GIS at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working at the intersection of remote sensing and machine learning. Her research centers on geospatial foundation models, from model development and embedding-based downstream applications to the systematic evaluation of learned representations.

Daniel Kiv
PhD student / predoctoral fellow, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Daniel is a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is interested in the intersection of machine learning and geography. He likes milk tea and hanging out with friends.

Wen Zhou
Postdoctoral research associate, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Wen’s research lies at the intersection of GIScience, GeoAI, and multimodal spatiotemporal data analytics. She develops novel methods for integrating heterogeneous geospatial data and applies them to address challenges in urban resilience, environmental sustainability, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Wei Hu
PhD student, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Wei Hu is a PhD student in Geography & Geographic Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. She has a BS in geographic information science from Nanjing Normal University, China and a dual MS in data science and environment and sustainability from the University of Michigan. She is interested in large language models, AI agents, foundation models and applications in disaster.

Ayush Khot
CS PhD student, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Ayush Khot is an NSF GRFP recipient and first-year CS PhD student at UIUC. He has done previous work in high-energy physics during his bachelors, and his PhD work spans geospatial AI, causal inference, and uncertainty quantification.
