Angelica Araguisto

Angelica Aragiusto is an AI governance and European policy researcher with a background in international relations. She is developing a research focus on the legal and institutional challenges of AI, particularly in EU digital regulation, synthetic media and democratic accountability.

She is completing a double master’s in Policies & Governance in Europe at King’s College London and LUISS University. Her dissertation examines the political use of AI-generated representations of deceased public figures, focusing on transparency under the EU AI Act. Her wider interests include the implications of synthetic media for public trust and democratic debate.

Experience at Chile’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva and the Embassy of Panama in London has given her a practical perspective on diplomacy and public institutions. Her editorial work in international affairs has developed her skills in evaluating evidence and communicating complex political questions clearly.

She has also completed BlueDot Impact’s AGI Strategy programme, where she explored strategic questions about advanced AI and international governance. She is interested in connecting legal and policy analysis with a deeper understanding of AI systems. She aims to contribute to interdisciplinary work on practical approaches to responsible AI governance, particularly where AI is used in public life.
