Ameny Khachlouf

Ameny Khachlouf is a General Engineer in Telecommunications with over 15 years of experience in the sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and graduated from the Higher School of Communication of Tunis “Sup’Com”. Currently, Ms. Khachlouf serves as Head of the Research and Development Department at Tunisie Telecom, the incumbent telecom operator in Tunisia.

In her current role, Ms. Khachlouf is responsible for building strategic partnerships with universities, engineering schools, and startups to foster innovation and develop new services and applications. She participates in national programs aimed at strengthening collaboration between startups and industrial actors, and contributes to the evaluation committees for startup challenges and calls for applications.

Ms. Khachlouf is also actively involved in the implementation of proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and Blockchain, with academic institutions and startups, and she is responsible for the “idea box” campaigns within the company, aiming at promoting creativity and employee-driven innovation.

Actively engaged in ITU activities since 2013, Ms. Khachlouf has participated in numerous ITU meetings, workshops, assemblies, and conferences. She has contributed to the drafting and submission of contributions to ITU-T meetings and assemblies. She serves as the focal point for the ITU-T Study Group 13 Regional Group for Africa (SG13 RG-AFR) for the North and East Africa regions. She has also served as co-editor of two ITU-T Supplements on Big Data and IMT-2020, TAC Expert for the Innovate for Impact 2025 initiative, and panelist at the “Innovate for Impact: The Winning AI Use Cases” event during the AI for Good Global Summit 2025.
