Alook Johnson

Alook Johnson

Johnson is an indigenous trapper from Northern Alberta, Canada. He is a recipient of passed-on indigenous knowledge and has spent over 40 years trapping and gathering. Being a trapper and gatherer who has been practicing his craft for a long time allows him to see the changes and impacts of climate change. He wishes to share his knowledge so that indigenous and non-indigenous peoples can work and find solutions together to find Balance on the Land. For this reason, Johnson and other Elders, Knowledge Keepers, Trappers, and Gatherers have started and are operating the ShagowAskee Foundation (not-for profit) and 4ustree Inc. (for-profit).
